Matalascañas

The beach! It took an hour on the bus to get here.
We had about a dozen of us go!

"Wish You Were Aqui"

This is a baby pickle they served us at the beach bar. So tiny!

Fried Cod Croquettas and Coquinas, or baby clams in garlic butter.

The aftermath!!!
SUCH a long day in the sun but it was awesome to spend time in the water,
eat amazing food, and yes, I sipped sangria on the beach :)

  1. So glad you went on the field trip to the coast. Meagan will be happy you made it into ocean. Was it the Mediterranean or the Atlantic? Those clams you ate look a lot like the little ones from our beach! We're they tasty? The photos of the sand look really hard-packed. No one was making castles or burying anyone? I love the photos and I am trying to emagine the smells of Spain. Much love to you!

  2. I am pretty sure it was the Atlantic Ocean. Not positive. The clams were soooooooo good, tated just like garlic and butter. Some people buried others in the sand, it was really fine and powdery. It was so beautiful and relaxing. Everywhere you go you hear the sounds of "palomas" or mourning doves!! So cool :)
