PUMPPPPED.

Here is a window into the world of Jenna, packing for six days and seven nights, in nothing but a school book bag.

Lunch and Travel Plans!

Well, nothing too exciting to report from the Spanish front.
I have been feeling under the weather, but after a trip to the doctor, four prescriptions, plus two kilos of oranges (gracias a Rosa), I am definitely on the mend.

Today was a normal, rainy, windy day in Sevilla.
I went to school and came home for lunch. Every day we come home and turn to channel 3 where we watch La Ruleta de Suerte, or Wheel of Fortune. You can see in this picture it is on the TV.

So that's our table all set up, same way three times a day.

Rosa went to the fruteria today and loaded up on fruit for us.

Meanwhile, I have been planning my trip! It is fall break starting on Friday, and I will be going to Madrid and then London on Saturday! I am finally starting to get super excited because it is so close!
I have printed all my tickets, got my passport, exchanged euros for pounds, and called the credit card company, so I should be set to leave at 8 am Saturday!

Tickets!! BON IVER CONCERT IN MADRID ohh so excited!

My notes for our flights to and from London.

Anyway, it is siesta time now so I will probably watch more Breaking Bad instead of sleeping. I have been watching it in English on my laptop and I am thoroughly addicted! All I did was lay in bed and watch that show when I was sick this week.
Then later, I have small group with the girls from school and may go to the Festival de Naciones one last time before it closes. Then it's FRIIIIDAY and then I GO TO LONDON!

If you can't tell I am still very excited about all these plans. Not even an upper and lower respiratory infection can keep my spirits down :)

Happy Saturday!

Hey everyone. Today has been a wonderful day! Here's a little update.

Today I woke up just in time for a late lunch which was a delicious cheesy pasta thing. Then I got dressed and went on an adventure with Allison! We first went to Rayas, which I don't know if I have mentioned, is my FAVORITE ice cream shop. They have a flavor called Maracuya which is like a fruit explosion in your mouth. Sooooo yummy. Then on the way I spotted these gems:

BLACK CAT SLIPPERS!!!! Two kitties, just like Neko and Kato! I didn't buy them though haha.

Then we went to the center of the city shopping area to have some post-ice-cream coffee. As always, delicious.

Allison took this picture of me in the cute little bar:

And this one I took!

It was super fun to relax and stroll, and now tonight I am off to watch the Barcelona game at our favorite bar with a big group of friends.

Hope everything is well at home or wherever you may be!

Besos!

Thank You GG and GR!

Today I got a package in the mail!

It is my absolute favorite thing to get mail, and I was so excited!

Thank you so much to Grandma Gay and Grandpa Ron for the package.
It really means a lot :)

Band Aids, stickers, and a card :)

Handwritten card

Princess Band Aids

This is my surprised face that there were stickers that say "Jenna" on them!

Again, thank you so much, I absolutely love it. Rosa and Allison both thought it was funny that it is commonplace for me to receive Band Aids as a gift, but hey, I love them!
:)

Haircut!

Hola todos!

Guess what I did todayyyyyyyyyyyy!
I GOT A HAIRCUT!

Here's the story behind it:
One day, I was casually watching TV with Rosa. We were watching La Voz, which is The Voice in Spanish. Here in Spain, there is a hostess on the TV show who inspired me to cut my hair. Here is a picture:

One look and I HAD to get the same look. So today I went to the "peluqueria" or hair salon.

I walked right in, told them I wanted a haircut, and they got right to business. My stylist was a very chubby gay man with a bedazzled tee shirt. He had a tattoo of a human heart with purple leopard print and a cartoon skull on his wrist. Very distracting. But the funny thing is that he had the same haircut as I wanted! I literally asked for his haircut.
So after he was done, I paid my 11 euros (ELEVEN EUROS!!!!!) and strutted all the way home!

Ready to see pictures? YES.

I am one happy camper. Hopefully you can kinda see the back in this picture.

Got that nice little alfalfa goin on!

Loving my new style :)

Love you all!

Toledo Field Trip

Hey everyone!

I just got back from Toledo, which is in the province of Castilla, Spain. The whole school spent two days and one night there. It was awesome because we got to stay in a hotel! Hahaha but it was a really fun excursion even though it was a 6 hour bus ride each way. I took almost 70 pictures which are all on facebook, but here are some of the best ones.

We stopped on our way to Toledo in a tiny little pueblo. It was famous for its "molinas" which are windmills. They are the windmills from Don Quijote! It was pretty cool to see the place that is referred to in the book. They were very quaint :)

This is me, really really excited to be off the bus.
The pueblo (village) is visible behind me.

Once we got to Toledo, we visited a church that had a super giant and famous painting by El Greco. Pictures weren't allowed, but it was cool. Then we went to a monastery from the 12th century. The picture above and below are from the monastery.

The next day, after a delicious breakfast in the hotel, we went to the Cathedral of Toledo. It was huuuuuge and we spent literally 3 hours walking through it. This picture was taken from the outside of the city, looking over the river and hills.

Here is me (tired) inside of the Cathedral.

During free time, Carolotta and I went shopping and snapped this little gem of a photo in a store.

Me overlooking Toledo!!
